I have no problems removing or reinstalling plex. The distinct difference between Infuse 4 and Plex, is that Infuse does all of its rendering and conversion on the fly, directly on the client side app on the device rather than having to have a server. The central Plex Media Server software manages nearly every aspect of the Plex experience–the clients merely act as a frontend for what the server is.
It takes a bunch of videos on the server, finds metadata (episode summaries, DVD cover art) for them, puts it all in a nice UI, then transcodes them and streams them to devices that have the client app installed.
